The Family Day Weekend started and ended the same way for the Belleville Bulls, with everyone involved scratching their heads asking "Whats going on with this team?"

Friday night the Bulls travelled to OSH to face the Generals. Coming in to this game the Bulls were leading the season series 4-2. With a victory Belleville would jump from 9th to 6th in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
The Bulls would start Malcolm Subban, and the Generals would counter with Belleville Minor Hockey product Kevin Bailie, making his 15th straight start.
The 1st period started with Bulls Austen Brassard and Generals Andy Andreoff being eject from the game at 0:08 for par taking in what the on ice officials deemed as a staged fight. Meaning that both players would not only miss this game but their teams next game as well, because the on ice call also carries a one game suspension. The game had a really chippy feel all night and the result was 5 different bouts.
The games 1st goal of the night was scored by OSH Christian Thomas(28th) on the PP at 12:03 from Scott Laughton and Matt Petgrave. a few minutes later at 14:22 Laughton(15th) scored a goal of his own from Nicklas Jensen and Daniel Maggio. The 1st period would end with the Generals leading the Bulls 2-0. Oshawa would out shot Belleville 12-8.
The 2nd frame started the same way the 1st ended with the Generals scoring goals. the 1st being scored unassisted at 7:20 by Emerson Clark(10th). Then at 12:20 import Sebastian Uvira got on the score sheet with his 13th from from Jensen and Petgrave. The Generals were not do there they scored one last time in the 2nd when Laughton buried his 2nd of the night from Jensen and Nick Quinn on the PP. Belleville manged to make it on the score sheet in the 2nd when at 19:00 on the PP Daniil Zharkov lite the lamp with his 18th from Jake Worrad and Jordan Subban. In the 2nd the Bulls out shot the Generals 14-13. Belleville was down by the 4 goals and trailing 5-1 after 40 minutes.
The Bulls needed a big third. The Coaching staff tried shaking things up by inserting Charlie Graham in the net. It didn't help. Graham was beat on the first shot he faced when Lucas Lessio put his 27th over Charlies glove at 1:31 from J.P Labardo and Maggio. Oshawa wanted this game more then the Bulls from Belleville and they kept scoring. Generals PIMs leader Scott Sabourin scored his 6th at 6:33 from Lessio and Quinn. To round out the scoring and as a nice bonus for 5793 in Attendance Scott Laughton put one past Graham for his 18th of the season and 3rd of the night, at 14:26 from Thomas and Petgrave. The Game ended with Generals beating the Bulls by a score of 8-1 . The Generals out shot Belleville 37-32. Belleville was 1/8 on the PP and 3/5 on the PK.
When this game was over Belleville Bulls fans started asking "Why were we not ready ?". The Generals came out of the gate wanting to win, and respond with an effort that showed that they know at this point in the season every game counts. Belleville did not. Leaving us to wonder, if the Bulls can't get up for this must win game how would they get up for Saturdays must win game Vs the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors.

OHL Playoff Sleeper Pick.
If the playoffs started today, my sleeper pick to represent the Eastern Conference in the OHL final would be the Oshawa Generals.
Big things were expected of the Generals this season, and they haven't lived up to the hype. So they made a coaching change. Chris DePiero stayed on as the teams GM, but was replaced behind the bench with Gary Agnew.
Coach Agnew comes to the Generals with a nice resume, He's coached in the NHL, AHL. Is a two time winner of the Matt Leyden Trophy for OHL Coach of the year. He took the London Knights to the OHL Final in 1999, where his Knights would lose to the Belleville Bulls in 7 games. He also holds the distinction of being the only coach to lead the Kingston Frontenacs to a division title in 1994–95.
Up front the Generals are loaded with fire power. Where do you start ? Andy Andreoff , Lucas Lessio , Nicklas Jensen, Boone Jenner and lets not forget former 50 goal scorer Christian Thomas, who we all know is capable of more. The Generals could have six 20 goal scorers in the line up when the playoffs start. And with import Sebastian Uvira and Scott Laughton also on the roster, if they can get rolling any team in the East would have a hard time handling what would be three very solid lines.
On the back end the Generals are lead by two players they picked up at the trade deadline. 1st is Matt Petgrave, who brings a wealth of playoff experience and Julian Melchiori. Both can put up points. Chris Carlisle and Colin Suellentrop are both over +11 and give the Generals a nice top 4.
But as we know all playoff runs start and end in net. This is a question mark for Oshawa. They have a former 1st rounder in Kevin Bailie. Who up to this year, hasn't really lived up to expectations. But as of late the Belleville Minor Hockey product seems to be coming in to his own . Daniel Altshuller has showed in his rookie year that he also has the tools to help the Genny's go far. With a lead both goalies are able to win games.

Belleville Bulls Vs Ottawa 67's February 15 , 2012
Before Wednesday nights game we asked how would the Belleville Bulls answer a 9-0 walloping from the Ottawa 67's on Sunday afternoon ? The loss in the Nation Capitol was the 2nd worst in franchise history. For the record, Belleville's worst defeat ever was also at the hands of the Ottawa 67's, a 10-0 loss in 1997.
As the season draws closer to the end with every game, the Bulls are already in playoff mode. After the Jan 28th 5-4 OT win over the Sarnia Sting, Belleville's Coaching staff broke the season down in to three 7 game series, hopeful that if they win 4 out of each 7, and maybe a few more, they would be in a playoff spot come March 19. Since then the Bulls have gone 3-2, and with a win tonight they could win the first 7 game break down, with a loss Friday night in Oshawa becomes in more of a must win game.
Unless BEL and OTT meet in the playoffs, this would be the 8th and final meeting between these clubs this season, the 67's have owned the Bulls this year. They lead the season series 6-1 coming in, having out scored Belleville 35-14 in the process
The Bulls would look for Malcolm Subban to tend the cage, and the 67's called on import Petr Mrazek. Scratches for the home team would all be injury related, John Chartrand, Micheal Curtis, who we found out before the game will miss a few weeks with a shoulder injury, Jason Shaw and Cater Sandlak. The visitors would be with out Bull killer Dalton Smith, Jake Cardwell and deadline acquisition John McFarland, who will the rest of the season.
The game started okay for Belleville they were taking shots and generating some chances and played well for most of the 1st , at 15:48 Michal Cajkovsky scored his 3rd on the season from Steven Janes and Sean Monahan to give OTT a 1-0 lead. Just over a minute later at 17:05 Tyler Toffoli was left alone and he netted his 41st of the season to give the 67's a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. There were no penalties in the 1st and Belleville was out shot by Ottawa 13-9. This season OTT has out scored BEL 17-3 in 1st periods.
In the 2nd Ottawa took some early penalties and The 19th ranked PP in the OHL made them pay, twice. The first goal on a 5 on 3 was scored by Danill Zharkov, his 17th from Steven Silas and Brendan Gaunce. The goal that tied the game 2-2 was scored by Silas(4th) at 7:20 with Gaunce and Joesph Cramarossa getting helpers. Then Belleville started turnover the puck, something you cant do Vs the 67's because they will make you pay. Remy Giftopoulos scored his 8th and 3rd against Belleville to give Ottawa a 3-2 advantage at 12:19 from Shane Prince to retake the lead. And just when you think the PP is rolling the Bulls give up a Shorty to Sean Monahan his 30th on the year at 14:40. The East Division leaders were not done there, as soon as the same penalty expired, Nicholas Foglia slipped his 8th over Subban's glove to give OTT a 4-2 lead to end the 2nd. Belleville out shoot Ottawa 21-8 in the period but were out scored 3-2.
Belleville needed a big 3rd , and right out of the gate at the 2:00 minute mark Austen Brassard(27th) from Gaunce and Adam Payrel cut the lead to 5-3. Janes did like that and restored Ottawa's three goal lead when he scored at 5:06 from Toffoli and Cody Ceci. At 10:09 Bulls rookie Jordan Subban scored his 4th from Gaunce and Jake Worrad, but that was all she wrote for the Belleville Bulls and they lost to the Ottawa 67's 6-4. Belleville out shot Ottawa 13-4 in the period and 43-25 in the game , Bulls PP was a nice 2/4, and the PK went 3/3.

Belleville Bulls Weekend Review Feb 10-12, 2012
"2 out of 3 ain't Bad"
This weekend started off great for the Belleville Bulls with a road win over division rival the Kingston Frontenacs, followed by a really good team effort in a home win over the only team Coach George Burnett has coached to an OHL Championship, the Guelph Storm , but ended the way every game in the Nations Capitol has since November/2008 with a loss to the Ottawa 67's.

On Friday night in Kingston, the Belleville Bulls started Malcolm Subban for just the 2nd time in 2012. The Frontenacs countered with work horse Igor Bobkov.
The 1st period seen Belleville out shoot Kingston 16-9. Both Subban & Bobkov made some huge saves to keep the game scoreless until 12:46 when Austen Brassard scored his 26th from Brendan Gaunce & Micheal Curtis on the PP, after Jack Nevins took a 4 minute minor for high sticking Bulls Captain Luke Judson. Not to be left out, the hometown Frontenacs answered the call and tied the game at one, when Ryan Kujawinski scored his 9th from Billy Jenkins & Trevor Morbeck at 15:41. The rookie Ryan Kujawinski with 3 goals in two games with Kingston Vs the Bulls already this season, looks like he might become one of those Kingston players that always seem to have Belleville's number like David Ling, Mike Zigomanis, or Chris Stewart.
No scoring in the 2nd. The Bulls PK had some work, because they took the only 4 penalties in the period. Bobkov and Subban were the story of the game so far With each net minder showing how they give their team a chance to win. Igor ruled the first period and Malcolm the second. Kingston out shot Belleville 13-11 in the frame. Malcolm Subban was the Bulls best penalty killer.
The Bulls started the 3rd the same way they ended the 2nd, in the sin bin. Belleville took 5 straight minor penalties when Garrett Hooey went off for tripping at 3:14, but fear not Bulls fans, Brendan Gaunce scored his 23rd shorthanded at 4:16. Curtis with his 2nd apple of the night and Steven Silas assisted on the goal. Not to be out down and much to the delight of the 3299 fans on hand, Kingston Forward Conor Stokes scored his own short handed goal at 10:42 to tie the game 2-2 and erasing the second lead that the Bulls had in the game. In the third the Belleville Bulls were really pushing and shooting the puck, out shooting the Fronts 17-9, but Igor Bobkov was huge giving Kingston the chance for 2 points and helping send this game to OT.
Over time didn't last long when Jake Worrad scored his 2nd goal of the season, :26 seconds in to give the Bulls the win 3-2 . It was fitting that Worrad scored the winner because it was him that got burned on the tying goal. This was a real good game by both teams. For the second game in a row the Bulls went 7/7 on the PK, a number that Coach Burnett will want to come down, Its great to kill 7, but that speaks as loud for the Bulls PK unit, as it does about the Fronts PP. Igor Bobkov was the story with Belleville out shooting Kingston 45-31.

Belleville Bulls Vs Guelph Storm, Saturday February 11 2012.
Saturday night the Belleville Bulls hosted the Guelph Storm on Sticks and Stones night that saw the hometown Bulls wearing limited edition special hospital themed jersey's to be auctioned off after the game with proceeds going to BGH to help purchase a Holmium Laser. Technology that helps eliminates kidney stones.
For the 2705 that turned out , They got to see Malcolm Subban start his 2nd game in a row for the Bulls. Guelph answered with Garret Sparks.
The first period had no scoring with Belleville out shooting Guelph 14-8. Storm goalie Sparks played great, and really, so did the Bulls. The Bulls are a different team with Subban in the net and they were flying around. At 12:06 Bulls D-man Branden Morris dusted it up with Guelph's rookie Tyler Bertuzzi.
The second frame started with the Storm opening the scoring at 1:39 when Jason Dickinson netted his 6th, to put the visitor's up 1-0. The 2nd ended with The Storm out shooting the Bulls 15-10 in the period, but you could feel that the Bulls wanted this game and were going to take it. If not for Sparks covering the angles when The Bulls rang three off the post, the score would have been different.
The Bulls came out and owned the third. Scoring 3 goals to take the lead 3-1 and win the game. The first goal came at 6:44 when Top NHL prospect Brendan Gaunce netted his 24th from Austen Brassard to tie the game 1-1. If Gaunce hadn't scored he would have been awarded a Penalty shot as he was hauled down on the play. Later in the period with the Storm taking a penalty Bulls fans where holding there breath, after Guelph created some chances short handed. Belleville has gave up 6 short handed goals in the last month after only giving up 3 before that. Not wanting to see that happen, Steven Silas who needed a goal as much as any player in the OHL beat Sparks for his 3rd of the season on the PP from Luke Judson and Gaunce at 15:19 to give Belleville a 2-1 one lead. The Bulls weren't finished scoring or on the PP. With less then a minute to go at 19:01 Joesph Cramarossa bagged his 11th, a real beauty on the PP from Adam Peyrel, That goal sealed the deal and Belleville defeated Guelph 3-1. The Bulls went 3/3 on the PK and a encouraging 2/6 on the PP, Belleville out shot Guelph 13-11 in the period and 37-34 in the game. both Goalies were very good and it was reflected in the games 3 stars.

Put away the Kool & The Gang albums because there would be no Celebration for the Belleville Bulls Sunday afternoon in the Nation's Capitol. Just like every other time since November of 2008, the Bulls would lose to the 67's in Ottawa. Just this time it would be one of the Bulls worst defeats in franchise history. For the record the Bulls loss today had very little to do with goaltender error, this was a team thing. Ever player on the Belleville roster was at least a minus 1. On the other side every Ottawa player on the roster was at least plus 1. The Bulls would start Malcolm Subban, but he would only last 9 minutes giving up 3 goals on 10 shots. In came Charlie Graham and he didn't fair much better, allowing 6 goals on 23 shots.
I'm not going to waste your time telling you how after Shane Prince scored a funny first goal, you could almost see the Bulls drop their collective shoulders and get ready for the spanking Ottawa was going to hand out. I also wont mention how the 67's were winning all the draws, the battles and just played a real good man to man game because they know they are in the Bulls head and were ready to rebound themselves from some recent struggles. We might leave out how OTT had two goals on their first 6 shots. We don't want to talk about how the Bulls allowed our old friend Tyler Toffoil to have three whacks at the puck all alone in front of Subban to score his league leading 41st goal of the season. Belleville also gave up a PP goal in the First. It was 4-0 Ottawa after 20 minutes.
Cue the comeback ? No , not so much. You don't want to hear how Shane Prince scored 2 goals in the 2nd to round out his own hat trick, and give Ottawa a 6-0 lead. Or do you need to find out how the home team rounded out the scoring, with 67's Rookie Sean Callaghan scoring his first (he will never score an easier goal in the OHL) and second goals of his career, 1st one was in the second frame and the 2nd in the last minute of the 3rd to seal the deal 9-0 for the 67's. On a bright note Belleville out shot Ottawa 35-33 in the game, but the last thing we will tell no one is how when called upon Petr Mrazek stood tall earning the shut out. Belleville went 0/7 on the PP and 2/4 on the PK. Good thing Bulls killer Dalton Smith wasn't playing or who knows what the score might have been. 9411 seen the home team win the game and sweep the 3 Stars

For the 2705 that turned out , They got to see Malcolm Subban start his 2nd game in a row for the Bulls. Guelph answered with Garret Sparks.
The first period had no scoring with Belleville out shooting Guelph 14-8. Storm goalie Sparks played great, and really, so did the Bulls. The Bulls are a different team with Subban in the net and they were flying around. At 12:06 Bulls D-man Branden Morris dusted it up with Guelph's rookie Tyler Bertuzzi.
The second frame started with the Storm opening the scoring at 1:39 when Jason Dickinson netted his 6th, to put the visitor's up 1-0. The 2nd ended with The Storm out shooting the Bulls 15-10 in the period, but you could feel that the Bulls wanted this game and were going to take it. If not for Sparks covering the angles when The Bulls rang three off the post, the score would have been different.
The Bulls came out and owned the third. Scoring 3 goals to take the lead 3-1 and win the game. The first goal came at 6:44 when Top NHL prospect Brendan Gaunce netted his 24th from Austen Brassard to tie the game 1-1. If Gaunce hadn't scored he would have been awarded a Penalty shot as he was hauled down on the play. Later in the period with the Storm taking a penalty Bulls fans where holding there breath, after Guelph created some chances short handed. Belleville has gave up 6 short handed goals in the last month after only giving up 3 before that. Not wanting to see that happen, Steven Silas who needed a goal as much as any player in the OHL beat Sparks for his 3rd of the season on the PP from Luke Judson and Gaunce at 15:19 to give Belleville a 2-1 one lead. The Bulls weren't finished scoring or on the PP. With less then a minute to go at 19:01 Joesph Cramarossa bagged his 11th, a real beauty on the PP from Adam Peyrel, That goal sealed the deal and Belleville defeated Guelph 3-1. The Bulls went 3/3 on the PK and a encouraging 2/6 on the PP, Belleville out shot Guelph 13-11 in the period and 37-34 in the game. both Goalies were very good and it was reflected in the games 3 stars.

Belleville Bulls @ Ottawa 67's Sunday February 12 , 2012
Put away the Kool & The Gang albums because there would be no Celebration for the Belleville Bulls Sunday afternoon in the Nation's Capitol. Just like every other time since November of 2008, the Bulls would lose to the 67's in Ottawa. Just this time it would be one of the Bulls worst defeats in franchise history. For the record the Bulls loss today had very little to do with goaltender error, this was a team thing. Ever player on the Belleville roster was at least a minus 1. On the other side every Ottawa player on the roster was at least plus 1. The Bulls would start Malcolm Subban, but he would only last 9 minutes giving up 3 goals on 10 shots. In came Charlie Graham and he didn't fair much better, allowing 6 goals on 23 shots.
I'm not going to waste your time telling you how after Shane Prince scored a funny first goal, you could almost see the Bulls drop their collective shoulders and get ready for the spanking Ottawa was going to hand out. I also wont mention how the 67's were winning all the draws, the battles and just played a real good man to man game because they know they are in the Bulls head and were ready to rebound themselves from some recent struggles. We might leave out how OTT had two goals on their first 6 shots. We don't want to talk about how the Bulls allowed our old friend Tyler Toffoil to have three whacks at the puck all alone in front of Subban to score his league leading 41st goal of the season. Belleville also gave up a PP goal in the First. It was 4-0 Ottawa after 20 minutes.
Cue the comeback ? No , not so much. You don't want to hear how Shane Prince scored 2 goals in the 2nd to round out his own hat trick, and give Ottawa a 6-0 lead. Or do you need to find out how the home team rounded out the scoring, with 67's Rookie Sean Callaghan scoring his first (he will never score an easier goal in the OHL) and second goals of his career, 1st one was in the second frame and the 2nd in the last minute of the 3rd to seal the deal 9-0 for the 67's. On a bright note Belleville out shot Ottawa 35-33 in the game, but the last thing we will tell no one is how when called upon Petr Mrazek stood tall earning the shut out. Belleville went 0/7 on the PP and 2/4 on the PK. Good thing Bulls killer Dalton Smith wasn't playing or who knows what the score might have been. 9411 seen the home team win the game and sweep the 3 Stars

The Best Draft Eligible OHL player other then Nail Yakupov is..?
The best draft eligible OHL player other then Nail Yakupov is Belleville Bulls Center Brendan Gaunce.
Gaunce has what it takes to become an NHL player, both on and off the ice, from skills to diet to attitude, he's the real deal and will play in the NHL. Its up to him whats role he takes when he gets there. Brendan is a big (6'2" 215lbs), physical forward who has speed and scoring touch but also plays well defensively. He thrives playing under Coach George Burnett and his two way system. He will join the impressive list of Forwards that Burnett has developed, like Keith Primeau, Manny Malhotra, Nathan Horton, and former Bulls Shawn Matthias, and Matt Belesky. If he adds a little more grit to his game.
Brendan put up 55 goals and 93 assists in 86 games in 09-10, great totals that made him the highest-scoring player of his age in Ontario that season. That season also seen him captain the same minor midget team, the Markham Waxers, he grew up watching his brother Cameron Gaunce a Colorado draft pick play for. Brendan won a Gold Medal with Team Canada in 2011 at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament. This season he was invited to play and wear an "A" in the Top Prospects game. He currently wears a "A" with the Belleville Bulls and is the fans pick to wear the "C" next season. Next year he will get a real good look from Team Canada's World Jr Team selection committee. "As a young man, he’s very mature, very focused, very dedicated...he doesn't have a chink in his armour." is how Bulls assistant coach Jake Grimes has described him.
He currently leads the Bulls in scoring this season. Next year even when continuing to play in a defensive system. He should be a top ten OHL point producer. Every year he gets better and better at both ends of the ice, something that makes NHL teams take notice, Two way players have never been as important as they are in today's Pro Game. He fits the bill, and it would surprise few he is drafted very early this June in Pittsburgh.

Does Igor Bobkov belong in the conversation for Best goalie in the OHL ?
Who is the best goalie in the OHL ?
Is it Malcolm Subban of the Belleville Bulls ? When he has played his numbers say he is in the conversation, what about London Knights Star Michael Houser, Mark Visentin of the IceDogs, Scott Wedgewood or Matt Mahalak in Plymouth , maybe 67's Peter Mrazek. But on this day I'm not looking for just great numbers, I'm looking for which goalie is the best, based on what he means to his team. The search leads me to The K-Rock centre in Kingston Via Surgut Russia and Igor Bobkov. I was surprised he wasn't moved at the deadline to a team like Belleville. The Bulls have great goal tending when Subban is healthy, and John Chartrand and Charlie Graham have been very good in some games, But with injuries to Chartrand and a 16 year old goalie in Graham who has been good, but its just not fair to put the pressure on a kid who didn't even start the year in the OHL, to lead you in to the playoffs.
I think Chartrand for Bobkov straight up would have been a great deal for everyone, Bobkov comes and helps Belleville through the injuries and Chartrand gets to be a full time starter, he wont want to be 2nd banana next year. And I dont feel he will be back anyways because next year its says here that Belleville goes with Subban and Graham.
But by not trading him shows just how important GM Doug Gilmour and Coach Todd Gill believe Bobkov is to the young team that Kingston has.
Before coming to Kingston this year Igor already had an impressive resume, he was a Silver medal winner and goaltender of the tournament at the U18s in 2009. Bobkov was drafted that year by the Anaheim Ducks 76th over all. He was the fourth goalie taken in the 09 draft. The Ducks have signed him to a entry level contract. He also came with a Gold medal from the 2011 WJC.
This year with the Fronts he has been outstanding. He's GAA 3.46 and SV% .905 don't top the OHL. But when it comes to Kingston goaltenders it leaps and bounds better, then the other options, both of the other goalies Kingston has used, have GAA over 6.14 and SV% under .825 , but that doesn't tell the whole story, He is first in the league in Shots against, facing on avg over 35 a night , 14 times he has faced more then 40 shots. he is also first in saves with 1427, Bobkov is 2nd in the OHL in minutes with 2585 and games played(45). The Fronts have 15 wins on the season, Bobkov has 15 wins on the season. He gets very little PP support, Kingston's PP is last in the OHL, or even strength goal support only Erie has scored less goals then the Frontenacs. Lots of nights he has to be the teams best penalty killer, their PK is also in the bottom half of the OHL. He has beat some good teams like Niagara, Brampton, London, and in division games he has beat Ottawa and Oshawa three times, Belleville twice and Peterborough once. He has been named a 3 Star 14 times, in 7 of those he has been the games 1stStar. 3 of his 1st Star selections have been on the road. His highlight so far has to be the 50 save performance he put in against London on JAN 13th. I know when the Bulls face the fronts , we know who Darcy Greenaway, Cody Alcock are and what they do , but its Bobkov we worry about,

Belleville Bulls Weekend Review, Feb 3-4 2012
Belleville Bulls @ Kitchener Rangers February 3 2012
Coming off a emotional 5-4 shootout win over The Sarina Sting at home, to crawl back to .500, The Belleville Bulls headed out on the road with stops in Kitchener and Owen Sound.
Before Friday nights game Vs the Rangers at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. The Belleville Bulls were saying all the right things, looking and sounding like a focused club, ready to turn the ship around. The 6482 that bought a ticket, were in for a treat as the number 1 ranked goalie in the CHL would return to action. Malcolm Subban would make his first start since Dec 17th. The Rangers would answer with Franky Palazzese.
The last time these two teams played, Kitchener won 5-4 on a late goal by Ryan Murphy. It was easily Belleville's best game of January. To start this game both teams really used the first as a feeling out period, with the only goal scored by Andrew Crescenzi at 15:58 from Zach Lorentz & Brandon Francisco to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead. In the first period Belleville out shot Kitchener 14-10. Something they would do all night. The Bulls went 0/2 on the PP.
Coming in to the 2nd ,things looked meek, The Rangers' record when leading after 20 minutes was a very impressive 18-1-1, the Bulls record when trailing after the 1st, 3-14-1
But Kitchener product and Bulls OA Adam Payrel had other plans when he scored his 14th of the year from Joseph Cramarossa & Brendan Gaunce 7:02 to tie the game. Not to be left out of the fun Bulls leading goal scorer Austen Brassard netted his 24th from Daniil Zharkov & Jordan Mayer, at 15:47 and the Bulls ended the 2nd leading the Rangers 2-1. They killed a penalty and missed on a PP opportunity. But again out shooting the Rangers 18-11 and 32-21 at that point in the game. Both goalies, Subban and Palazzese were playing great.
The Rangers tied the game early in the 2nd at 2:20 when Tobias Rieder lit the lamp for the 29th time from Cody Sol & Michael Catenacci. The Rangers weren't happy with a tie game when the always dangerous Ryan Murphy scored at 4:08 on the PP from Rieder & Crescenzi. That would be the last goal scored by the Rangers. But the Bulls, they weren't finsished, at 5:59, Brassard scored his second of the night and 25th on the year from Zharkov & Jason Shaw to tie the game 3-3. The game winner scored by Micheal Curtis was a beauty. Dylan Corson one the draw cleanly and Curtis buried his 11th on a one-timer at 11:14. Adam Payrel added two empty net goals . Giving him a hat trick his last OHL game in his home town. It also gave the Bulls a much needed 6-3 victory over one of the top teams in the CHL. Belleville out shot Kitchener 17-16 in the third and 49-37 in the game. The Bulls went 0/4 on the PP and 2/3 on the PK. And just like that the Bulls were on a mini 2 game winning streak.

On Saturday night the Bulls made their way to Owen Sound to face the defending OHL Champs.. Both teams took there share of minor penalties. Not out of character for the Attack they lead the OHL in Pims, with Hamlo leading the OHL in minor infractions, The Bulls killed all of there 7 penalties, but I'm sure it was something the coaching staff wasn't happy to have to do. Belleville did get on the the board at 10:08 of the 3rd on the PP(1/6). When Daniil Zharkov scored his 16th from Steven Silas & Jake Worrad to make the score 2-1. The goal was Zharkov's first in 13 games , after scoring 15 in his first 17 games. Belleville was out shot 33-30, both goalies played very well. Bulls rookie Charlie Graham was named the games 3rd Star and Owen Sound's Jordan Binnington was named the games 2nd Star. Halmo was named the games 1st Star to the delight of the 3320 fans at the game. Belleville next game also on the road is Friday in Kingston.
